P.S. have just been checking out Ronald Searle, per your recommendation at Poumista. I realise I have quite underrated him, and specifically his seriousness, until now.

As well as the ones at Graphic Witness, there are more images from the Refugees 1960 book at the Ronald Searle Tribute blog.

I see the link at Graphic Witness to his drawings as a prisoner of war in Burma is broken; that story is quite incredible and worth looking up. A little on it here and here.

Like any hardworking commercial artist, some things he's done are less interesting than others, but the volume of outstanding work he has produced is staggering.

Been looking at your Stumble Upon page, by the way. A dangerous thing to do - too many good things!

Thanks for the link, Kellie. And all the best.

Stumbling is to blogging as methadone is to heroin. Not that I'd know. Glad you liked it. You might especially like these. Or you might not.

Snoopy, you're welcome, anything for a goon.

Bob, I liked the Ben Katchor page you stumbled a lot, though I was concerned to learn of the taboo about eating one's bedding.
